Austria

Tyrol - Heart of the Alps

The Tyroleans enchant not only with their down-to-earth dialect. Anyone who comes to Tyrol can hardly escape the magic of the gripping mountain world with its mighty, snow-covered peaks and the unspoiled nature of this beautiful landscape. Clearly, Tyrol is the province of sportsmen, in any weather and in any season. Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, cross-country skiing or ice climbing in winter and mountaineering, hiking and mountain biking in summer. More and more, new sports are conquering the country. The offer ranges from archery, trail running or paragliding to downhill-ride or canyoning. But the Tyroleans also score with their traditional cuisine. When preparing bacon dumplings, Schlipfkrapfen, Kiachln or Gröstl, value is placed on local and natural ingredients.

The Tyrolean hospitality is known beyond the borders, a schnapps after a good meal is almost mandatory. The variety of Tyrolean accommodation establishments is also well known. This ranges from exclusive 5-star hotels to inns and alpine pastures to comfortable vacation apartments and vacation homes, some of them high up on the mountain. What would Tyrol be without its clean mountain air, lush mountain meadows and its cozy huts to stop in. But the land in the Alps is also home to traditional and innovative architecture, cultural diversity and plenty of events, whether artistic or sporting. The state capital is Innsbruck, bordered in the north by the mountains of the Nordkette, in the south it is only a stone's throw over the Brenner Pass to Italy.

Carinthia

In the southern Austrian region of Carinthia in the Eastern Alps, where Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner, is located, there are some beautiful vacation properties. Carinthia is characterized by alpine lakes and mountains, as well as medieval buildings, such as Hochosterwitz Castle. The capital of Carinthia, Klagenfurt, is located on the shores of Lake Wörthersee, which is surrounded by vineyards. Likewise, one of our offices is located on Lake Wörthersee.

Vorarlberg

In the far west of Austria, between Lake Constance and the Arlberg, lies the "Ländle", as Vorarlberg is affectionately called. Due to its endearing but sometimes incomprehensible dialect, many people have the impression that they are already outside Austria's borders. The small state, which can only be reached from the rest of Austria via or below the Arlberg, borders three neighboring countries at once, namely Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. The state capital, Bregenz, is located on Lake Constance. From the Pfänder in Bregenz you have a wonderful view over the city and it is the starting point for a widely ramified hiking network. A very special piece of Austria is the Kleinwalsertal.

It belongs to Austria, but can only be reached from Germany. While Vorarlberg is a paradise for summer and winter sports enthusiasts, it also has a lot to offer culturally. One of Europe's leading art houses for contemporary art is located in Bregenz and every year the Bregenz Festival takes place right on Lake Constance. As everywhere in Austria, culinary delights and hospitality play a major role in Vorarlberg. Especially famous from this region are the "Käsknöpfle". Vorarlberg offers beautiful vacation accommodations. Why not rent a vacation home in the Bregenzerwald or a vacation apartment in one of the snow-sure ski areas? This small country has a lot to offer not only in terms of tourism, but also in terms of cuisine, culture and sports.

Salzburg

A colorful variety of wonderful excursion destinations, great accommodations, rustic huts, cozy farms, unique natural spectacles, famous sights and impressive landscapes - all this you will find in the Salzburger Land! Switch off from everyday life and experience the Salzburg alpine summer? You can do that on one of the more than 1,800 farmed and managed alpine pastures as well as on one of the 137 certified alpine summer huts. Here you can enjoy nature and breathe fresh mountain air. Salzburger Land truly offers sports enthusiasts everything their heart desires: hiking, pilgrimage, cycling, biking, swimming, relaxing, canyoning, rafting, horseback riding and sometimes even flying.

There are also more than 190 sights worth seeing: from Hellbrunn Palace to adventure and thermal baths to mountain railroads or the Water Wonder World in Krimml. You should also not miss the beauty of the city of Salzburg! A city nestled in a beautiful mountain panorama, with a unique history and an incomparable sense of culture. Admire the many sights and magnificent baroque architecture while walking through the world-famous alleys of the old town.

Upper Austria

Enjoy a wonderful vacation in a land full of joie de vivre, rich in mountains, lakes and forests. From the Salzkammergut, the land of summer retreats, to the gently hilly Mühlviertel, the dynamic cultural capital Linz on the Danube and the alpine Pyhrn-Priel. Either "gmiadlich" along one of the many lakes or sporty on the way to sniff mountain air - here is something for everyone! Countless circular hiking trails, dreamlike alps and idyllic huts offer you a break from everyday life.

Those who like to ride on two wheels in the mountains can explore the area on the mountain bike trails. Then, of course, you can cool off at one of the sparkling lakes. In the evening you can strengthen yourself in one of the guest gardens and let the day end together. It is not surprising that these dreamlike places can also be admired as settings in "Schlosshotel Orth" or "Im Weißen Rössl am Wolfgangsee".

Lower Austria

"Land of mountains, land on the river, land of fields, land of cathedrals" - this phrase from the Austrian national anthem perfectly describes the province of Lower Austria with its numerous hiking and pilgrimage trails. In addition to many beautiful bathing lakes, Lower Austria is best known for the Danube River, which is lined with castles, palaces and vineyards. Alongside the Danube, you can leisurely cycle for miles. On water, the boat offers the most beautiful views of the landscape between Krems, Spitz and Melk. In the wine country of Lower Austria you can experience real Heurigen culture. Autumn is the time when it's "Ausg'steckt is", which means that winegrowers open the doors to their winery to taste this year's wines, storm and must. In addition, there are delicious delicacies from the local cuisine. Well-being and warmth are best enjoyed in one of the thermal spas that can be found throughout the province.

A wellness weekend, get away from it all in complete peace and relaxation - accommodation can be found not only in the hotels attached to the spas. Many beautiful vacation apartments and cottages offer space for the whole family. Very close to nature and opportunity to recharge energy reserves offer Lower Austrian nature and national parks. But Lower Austria is also a land of culture. In summer, festivals and concerts take place. For example, the provincial capital of St. Pölten invites visitors to its festival theater and the Waldviertel region to chamber music concerts.

Vienna

Vienna is the capital of Austria and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. The city is located near Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary and is divided into 23 districts. Vienna is often called the "City of Music" or the "Capital of Music" because more famous composers have lived here than in any other city in the world. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Joseph Haydn, Franz Schubert and Johann Strauss are just a few of those who have called Vienna home. Viennese architecture is characterized by different styles belonging to different historical periods. Among the famous sights of Vienna are Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, St. Stephen's Cathedral, Prater, Hofburg Palace and the famous Schönbrunn Zoo, which is the oldest zoo in the world.

Vienna is also the only capital city in the world that produces significant amounts of wine within the city limits. The best way to enjoy Viennese wine from the region is to visit a Heuriger or take a walk along the Vienna Wine Route. The most popular types of wine are Grüner Veltliner, Rheinriesling and Weißburgunder. Viennese cuisine is also rich in specialties, so there is something for every palate. For example, the world-famous Wiener Schnitzel, Sachertorte, apple strudel and much more.
